This week I was lucky enough to review 2 great products by WAHMs.

The first review that I did was about Grey's Harbor Designs. Sarah makes beautiful matching name hangings and blankets.

Do you know about Wish Pot? I just found it myself, forgive me if I'm way behind. Anyhow it is a fabulous site where you can create a free account and a button comes up on your toolbar so that you can create gift lists for your loved ones, wish lists for yourself to share with your loved ones (it doesn't really feel like a hint if you don't say it out loud), and organize everything in one spot.

You don't have to bookmark pages and try to remember what they were there for when your neices birthday rolls around - just create a gift list specifically for her - very easy and convenient. LOVE IT!

No Sew Fabric Crib Rail Guard Tutorial

I am excited to announce a new product in my Etsy Shop! I have written a No Sew Fabric Crib Rail Tutorial. This is an easy project that anyone could complete, even if you have no sewing experience. You only need a sharp pair of fabric scissors, a measuring tape, 6 basting safety pins, fabric, and about an hour of time. That's right, this project should only take about an hour of time from start to finish, once all of the materials are gathered. This tutorial is a 3 page PDF file with step by step instructions that include color photos. This tutorial also has a simple formula to help you figure out how much fabric to purchase, so you won't buy more than is needed.

Pick out your own fabric to match the bedding in your nursery, or a fabric that your babe would love – ducks, bears, frogs, trucks, pink polka dots, etc. This pattern is available in My Etsy Shop for $10. This week I will also be adding kits with everything you need, so you won’t even have to leave your house!

Children's Space Adventure Book: Starry Night

Great news for those of you with little astronauts at home! My husbands space adventure book, Starry Night is now available through Barnes & Noble online. As a Dad with almost 20 years of experience as a space officer, he has really captured the spirit of space exploration in a way that young children can enjoy, relate to and learn from.

He is not only the author but also the illustrator, masterfully integrating images of our son, Tristan (the main character) with his technically accurate and simply stunning 3-rendered space art.

New Shop on Etsy - ThreeLittleGoblins

Just had to mention a new favorite shop of mine on Etsy.com. It is http://www.threelittlegoblins.etsy.com/ and they have a special place in my heart! This is someone I know who makes hand made bears in all shapes and sizes. One of the bears listed on her site is called a memory bear. This bear can be made from any fabric you like, one for her to choose or one maybe from a favorite piece of clothing. You can have your child's favorite shirt or dress made into a bear when it no longer fits!

But I have to say what is most special about this memory bear is it was one made especially for me in memory of my darling daughter Emma (you can read about Emma on my site at http://www.snanimals.com/ - it has a link to information and also to her carepage.) Emma passed away suddenly last year from pulmonary hypertension. Recently my friend surprised me with this beautiful bear, done in purple ribbon fabric for the pulmonary hypertension association and with Emma's picture on the belly (with a bumblebee on the foot--Emma LOVED bees!) So you see just how special these bears can be.

But there's so many more. I am also showing one that she makes for teachers! It is a fantastic idea and a wonderful gift. A bear that has the class picture (or any picture) on it's belly and colorfull apples all over for the class to sign to give as a gift! How ingenious! I imagine you can do this sort of thing for all types of jobs, not just teachers, as a special gift! Please drop by their shop and take a look around!

I have had the idea for awhile that I would like to find someway to be able to use my tutus to give to charity, and I finally figured it out.

Every 6 months, I will be picking a charity to work with. I will design a special tutu using the colors of the charity and then I will donate 30% of the proceeds of each tutu to that charity.

For example, the first charity that I will be working with is The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through the Friends of Heroes team. When you purchase one of the special LLS tutus, 30% of the proceeds from the tutu will then go to LLS through theFriends of Heroes team.

Today I reviewed a great website, Green Party Goods. It is a great site that carries tableware, goodies boxes and felt bags, party favors, decorations, green toys and games, eco-friendly green gifts, and tote bags. In addition to being good for the environment, the products that she carries are gorgeous and affordable.

I have to say that one of my favorite items that she has are the party hats. Oh how I wish I had the felt princess hat for Sara Rose for her birthday party.

Another one of my favorites are the handcrafted wooden toys made in the USA. How cool is this log cabin! Can you imagine how excited a kid would be to get this? I can!
