Counting 123 Book

My little guy is almost 18 months old. Not only are we working on learning the letters of the alphabet, but we are also practicing our numbers too! I teach high school mathematics and I was very excited when my little guy first recognized the number 8! I knew that my next crafting project was going to be making him a fabric numbers book to read. He loves books! Each page on in this book has Paddington Bear blowing bubbles, flying a kite or up to some other activity. Since I have made this book for my little guy, less than a week ago, he has learned two more numbers - 2 and 6! We read with him for at least half an hour everyday. It is so nice to have a handmade fabric book created by his mama mixed in with all of the board books. I have even added a loop at the top of the book so that I can easily clip it to his stroller. If you would like a counting fabric book for your little one, I have listed them in my Etsy Shop, New England Quilter.

The November issue of W Magazine’s front cover features a stunning black and white photo of Angelina Jolie breastfeeding.
The photo was taken by Brad Pitt and shows Angelina wearing a sleeveless blouse revealing part of her breast and a tiny hand resting as the baby feeds. Angelina’s hair is naturally falling over her shoulder and she wears a smile of contentment.

“Angelina posed for Brad in one of the photos while breastfeeding. It’s really beautiful and tastefully done. The photos are amazing,” a Life & Style source has revealed.

The cover headline promises more photos taken by Brad and it’s been reported that the magazine has over 20 photos of Angelina and the family taken by Brad in their family home in France. The interview printed alongside the photos hints at future additions to the Pitt-Jolie family.

This issue of W Magazine goes on sale on the 21st October.

BoulieBags are Back!

I started making mini handbags for mini ladies (otherwise known as little girls) last year and they were a bit hit. Each bag is unique and each is embellished with a Chichiboulie images printed onto a cotton appliqué which is then stitched onto the bag.

This year I wanted to try something new so I have made up some BoulieBags in felt. What a fabulously fun fabric!

My Crocheted Sunflower Afghan Is In A Magazine!

I wrote a blog back in September about crocheting a pretty sunflower design afghan for my older daughter. I gave it to her on her birhtday in May and she loved it. I also posted a photo of the afghan on a website that I'm a member of called CraftStylish. I joined awhile back and uploaded a photo of this afghan. Well, they must have liked it because they sent me an email last month and asked if they could feature it in their magazine called "Gifts to Make"
I couldn't wait to get the magazine and see! Well, it's here! My sunflower afghan appears in just a small corner of a page, but I'm just tickled to have this honor. My daughter is overjoyed (and proud of her Mom).
