Something new, something different

Summer was a whirlwind, almost quite literally. I was away more than I was home and although it was great visiting family and friends, I admit I was glad to get back to my new home to decorate and also to create.

Chichiboulie has some new things in shop, something a little different from what I've done in the past. I've been working on some digital collages using my illustrations and some bits and bobs I've found around the studio.

The result? Here are 3 to show you. "Prettie Brollies" really makes me smile as I've always loved umbrellas. And we certainly need them here! I love the softness of this print and yet it still shows that fun Chichiboulie spirit. "Music and Dancing" is another, soft like "Pretty Brollies", but also delicate and quiet. And lastly, "Dainty Dresses" which has a faded vintage feel. Three different styles that work well either in a child's room that is Chichiboulie's specialty or elsewhere.

No Sew Fabric Crib Rail Guard Tutorial

I am excited to announce a new product in my Etsy Shop! I have written a No Sew Fabric Crib Rail Tutorial. This is an easy project that anyone could complete, even if you have no sewing experience. You only need a sharp pair of fabric scissors, a measuring tape, 6 basting safety pins, fabric, and about an hour of time. That's right, this project should only take about an hour of time from start to finish, once all of the materials are gathered. This tutorial is a 3 page PDF file with step by step instructions that include color photos. This tutorial also has a simple formula to help you figure out how much fabric to purchase, so you won't buy more than is needed.

Pick out your own fabric to match the bedding in your nursery, or a fabric that your babe would love – ducks, bears, frogs, trucks, pink polka dots, etc. This pattern is available in My Etsy Shop for $10.
