Credit Crunch Baby Boom

It’s been in the news lately that the current credit crunch is causing a baby boom.
With people having less money to spend on nights out to the cinema, dining out or pubs couples are making their own free entertainment at home and beating the credit crunch blues with a bit of bedroom fun!
There has already been an increase of sales in Maternity wear and pregnancy tests!
Is 2009 going to see a baby boom? - we think so!
It can be hard buying maternity clothes on a budget so start with basics such as a few good tops that can be worn smart or casual (top tip - Wrap arounds or Rouched tops will last the longest), a pair of comfortable maternity trousers and a classic black dress that you can wear to work or out with friends.

Homemummy Maternity Shoes

Homemummy has introduced gorgeous maternity ballet pumps into its Summer 08 collection. The flexible fit contains extra padding for maximum comfort.

The breathable lining allows pregnant tired feet to expand generously without the shape or style of the shoe being affected.

In classic black and white as well as glamorous bronzed pewter, the versatile colours and style will fit in with any wardrobe pre and post baby.

These are extremely comfy to wear and I want to know your thoughts on Maternity Shoes!

Brangelina, Homemummy and the Monaco maternity dress

We recently blogged about Angelina Jolie's maternity style and we did a get the look feature using our Homemummy maternity Monaco Dress which is a long dress in a purple (or black) block colour in a style like Angelia's. When we first wrote about it, we saw a steep climb in sales.

Today we did a follow up blog about "Brangelina" following the birth of the twins and have seen a sharp rise again in our monaco dress!

Personally, I love it! it's the prefect soft and sexy maternity dress, I love the greek key detail and the with or without rope tie.

It's currently in our sale, down from £135 to a bargain £65! Now for £65 I'm getting one in Purple and one in Black - Join me? x

Maternity jeans from Homemummy

Homemummy Maternity Jeans, Hit or Miss?

One of the hardest things to get right when it comes to maternitywear is maternity jeans!

After a very long study and asking mums what they want we have finally launched the first Homemummy jeans!

  • The denim in 360 degree stretch in a navy blue finish (plenty of room)

  • The waistband is designed for comfort and bump support

  • The back pockets are positioned to be flattering on your bottom (makes your bum look smaller!)

  • Straight leg (we heard that you don't want bootcuts when your in flats and skinnys don't suit your bump!)

  • Two leg lengths

  • Designed to last through your pregnancy and whilst you get your figure back.

So after all this - what do you think of our maternity jeans? Hit or Miss?
